2011 WVESSA Calendars
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on the 2011 Willamette Valley English Springer Spaniels Association’s 2011 Calendar. The calendar features a generous selection of beautiful springers. The calendar serves as a fund raiser for the club.
WVESSA is dedicated to the betterment of the English Springer Spaniel breed. But most of all, our members love their dogs. Our members are involved in many activities, including: rescue, conformation, obedience, agility, rally, hunting, therapy, etc.
This year the club has the honor of hosting the ESSFTA National Specialty, October 2nd through October 9th in Albany Oregon.
A Specialty show is an event limited to a single breed and are sponsored by a national “parent” specialty club or local “regional” specialty clubs. Some specialty shows may be held in conjunction with an all-breed event and others are independent of all-breed shows. There are about 2,000 independent national and regional specialty point shows held every year. So in otherwords… lots of English Springer Spaniels in one place doing many many things.
This year’s specialty will have Tracking Tests, Hunt Tests, Agility, Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Junior Showmanship, Judges Education, Super Pet Contest, Rescue Parade… and close by will be a Field Trial held by NWESSC. If you love springer spaniels this is a wonderful opportunity to see them at their best!
