A Silky, a Smooth and a Staffie… Terriers that is. I’ve just added three new designs to my Wry Toast shop: A Silky Terrier, a Smooth Fox Terrier, and an American Staffordshire Terrier. These designs are also available through CKC Embroidery and Dog Mom Dog Designs.
The American Staffordshire Terrier (Am Staff) is courageous, strong and athletically built. Early in the 19th century he was used as a bull baiter, but is now better known as a family dog. Although a friendly dog, the Am Staff needs to be socialized and trained. He needs confident owners who understand how to be a pack leader.
The Smooth Fox Terrier is an active, friendly and playful breed. The breed originated in the British Isle and was predominately a vermin hunter. These terriers are bold but not aggressive. They make excellent family dogs, but be aware that they are diggers.
The Silky Terrier is often confused with the Yorkshire Terrier (yorkie), but in reality he is larger and has less coat. The Silky has a true terrier personality, despite his toy size. Silkies are adaptable, keen, and energetic and need regular bathing and brushing.
