- The Akita is a native of Japan, where he has been used as a versatile hunting dog for many years. The Akita first arrived in the United States with Helen Keller in 1937. They are a large and power working dog. Although they are quiet, they have a strong guarding instinct and will sound an alarm.
- The Bloodhound is one of the oldest scenthounds. He is also known as a St. Hubert Hound and Sleuth Hound. The Bloodhoundis used world-wide for rescue and criminal searches. The Bloodhound’s is the only dog breed whose evidence in admissible in U.S. courts.
- The Canaan Dog is a natural breed of Israel and dates back to Biblical times, originating in the Land of Canaan. He is inquisitive, loyal and loving with his family. He is a successful in herding, obedience, agility and conformation. He is highly territorial, so he will be aloof and reserved with strangers.
